Dr. Sima Aidun is a Naturopathic Doctor offering holistic, natural, integrative care to women of all ages. Updates on September 2009 Women’s Health Round Table: The event was a success and we had a full house. It was encouraging to witness such an enthusiasm from women desiring to be proactive in taking care of their health. In case you were not able to attend, we covered topics such as: -Female hormone imbalances in menopause and perimenopause -Testing hormones: blood vs. saliva -Using bioidentical hormones for hormonal imbalances -Thyroid problems, adrenal fatigue -Breast health (comparing different diagnostic imaging, their safety and accuracy, hormone replacement therapy and breast health) Many questions were answered, but due to the limited amount of time many were left unanswered. We gathered those questions and promised to answered them in writing. I also wanted to mention that some of the questions we received asked us for treatment options. Please keep in mind that both Dr. Barclay-White and I are unable to prescribe treatment over email, due to not knowing a person's entire health history, issues, and concerns.
